corrupt system files

corrupt system files

Your Windows system may experience errors, crashes, and performance problems as a result of corrupted system files.

To fix corrupted system files, take the following actions:

Step 1: Launch the Administrator Command Prompt

Select Run as administrator after typing cmd into the Start menu.

Step 2: Execute the System File Checker (SFC) scan

Enter the following command in the Command Prompt window and hit Enter:

SFC /Scannow

Hold off until the scan is finished. If corrupted files are detected, Windows will try to fix them on its own.

Step 3: Launch the DISM Tool

Perform each of the following instructions one at a time if the SFC scan is unable to resolve the problem:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

These commands will look for Windows problems like image corruption and attempt to fix them.

Step 4: Restart Your PC

After the repair process, restart your computer to apply the changes.

Step 5: Verify System Integrity

Run the sfc /scannow command again to make sure all corrupted files have been fixed.
