Hard Drive Health Checks
- Use Built-in Windows Tools: CHKDSK and SMART Status via Command Prompt.
- Third-Party Software: CrystalDiskInfo and Hard Disk Sentinel.
- For SSDs: Samsung Magician, Crucial Storage Executive, Kingston SSD Manager.
RAM Health Checks
- Use Windows Memory Diagnostic: Press Win + R, type
mdsched.exe, and press Enter. - Use MemTest86 (Advanced): Create a bootable USB, boot from the USB, and test RAM.
Signs of Failing Hardware
- Hard Drive Issues: Slow performance, frequent crashes, clicking noises, files disappearing or corrupted.
- RAM Issues: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), frequent crashes or reboots, and failing to launch apps.
