How to Uninstall Norton 360 Completely from Your PC

To completely uninstall Norton 360 from your PC, follow these steps:

  1. Close Norton 360 to ensure it is not running in the background.
  2. Use Control Panel to uninstall Norton 360:
    • Press Win + R, type appwiz.cpl, and press Enter.
    • Locate Norton 360 in the list and select “Uninstall.”
  3. Restart your computer to complete the uninstallation.
  4. Download and run the Norton Removal Tool from the Norton website.
  5. Check for leftover files and registry entries in the following directories:
    • C:\Program Files\Norton
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton
    • C:\ProgramData\Norton
  6. Clean up using the Registry Editor (optional):
    • Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
    • Navigate to and delete any Norton-related entries:
      • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Norton
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Norton
    • Caution: Be careful when modifying the registry, as incorrect changes can harm your system.
  7. Restart your computer again to ensure all changes take effect.
  8. Check for remaining services in Task Manager under the Services tab.
  9. Verify the uninstallation by checking that Norton 360 is no longer listed in Programs and Features or in the Start menu.
