First, go to the Start menu and click on the Settings tab to customize your PC’s settings.
Next, tap the Search button and then click on the Troubleshoot option. Once you click on Troubleshoot, go to the “Other Troubleshooters” option.
In the Other Troubleshooter tab, select the fourth option, “Windows Update,” and hit the Run button.
Once troubleshooting finishes, click the Yes button to apply the changes and clear the issue.
Log in as an administrator and open the Command Prompt. Type the following command:
Wait for the scan to complete. You may see a message saying “Windows Resource Protection may indicate that the SFC program detected no integrity issues or found corrupted files but was unable to repair some of them.”
Open Command Prompt and type:
nslookup update.microsoft.com
The server name should contain “Microsoft.” If it doesn’t, your PC may not be connecting to Microsoft servers. In this case, contact an expert for further assistance.
First, right-click Command Prompt and select “Run as Administrator.” Then, enter the following commands:
exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
After the commands finish, type Exit in the Command Prompt window and press Enter to close it.
Go to the C:/ drive and open the “Windows” folder. Then open the “SoftwareDistribution” folder, followed by the “DataStore” folder, and delete all its contents. After that, open the “Download” folder inside the “SoftwareDistribution” folder and delete all the files there.
Note: You might need administrator permissions to delete these files. If you are logged in as an admin user, simply click “OK” to proceed.
Press Windows + R and type “regedit.” In the navigation pane on the left, go to the Registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\policies\Microsoft\office
Delete the “office” folder, exit the registry editor, and reboot your system. Check if you can install Microsoft Office without errors.
If none of the above steps work, you may need to reset your Windows 10/11 operating system to resolve the issue. Please back up your data before proceeding, as the reset process may remove all your files and settings.
