Manage the Windows Event Log Service
The Windows Event Log service records system, security, and application events, helping diagnose and troubleshoot issues. Follow these steps to manage it:
- Open the Services Manager
Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. - Locate the Windows Event Log Service
Scroll down to find Windows Event Log in the list. - Check the Service Status
Ensure the status is Running to confirm it is active. - Restart or Stop the Service
Right-click Windows Event Log and select Restart or Stop if troubleshooting requires it. - Set the Startup Type
Right-click the service, choose Properties, and set Startup type to Automatic, Manual, or Disabled, depending on your needs. - View Event Logs
